The Fourth Annual Oasis Project Holiday Toy Drive
Imagine a child waking up on Christmas morning.
For some children in foster care, it may be their first Christmas away from their biological family. There may be traditions they miss, people they wish were there, and questions they don't yet know how to answer.
For others, this may be the only kind of Christmas they've ever known. They may not remember a Christmas with their biological family or may have spent many holidays moving between homes, caregivers, and circumstances beyond their control.
But no matter what their story is, they are still children.
They still want to feel like they belong.
They still want to feel known.
They still wonder what is underneath the tree.
They still have favorite things, little wishes, and something that would make their eyes light up on Christmas morning.
And they still deserve to experience the feeling of being thought of, being remembered, and being celebrated.
That's why we show up.
For the fourth year, The Oasis Project is bringing our community together for our Annual Holiday Toy Drive — creating an opportunity for foster, adoptive, and kinship families to experience a Christmas centered around connection, belonging, and joy.
But this isn't simply about putting toys under a tree.
It's about reminding children that they are seen.
It's about giving caregivers the opportunity to be the ones who choose their child's gifts — to walk through the Toy Drive, find the things that make them think, “They are going to love this,” and bring those gifts home to wrap themselves.
Because on Christmas morning, we want the parent or caregiver to be the gift giver.
We want them to experience the joy of watching their child's face light up.
We want children to see gifts chosen specifically with them in mind.
And we want families to have the opportunity to create traditions and memories that help a child feel a little more rooted, a little more secure, and a little more like they belong.
It Takes All of Us to Create That Moment.
A Christmas like this doesn't happen because of one person.
It happens because a community decides that children are worth showing up for.
It happens when someone gives their time.
When someone shares their talents.
When someone donates a toy.
When someone gives financially.
When someone simply says, “I want to be part of this.”
Every contribution helps us create an experience that reaches far beyond a wrapped present.
You are helping a child feel remembered.

And maybe, years from now, that child won't remember every gift they received.
